|Norfolk Island Administration: Argentine Ant eradication.|
|Since November 2008 FBA Consulting have provided operational management and technical expertise for the Argentine ant eradication programme on Norfolk Island. This included the deployment of bait systems in the field, developing a monitoring system to ascertain results and taxonomic services, strategic advice to provide the best chance of eradication success.
Delimiting surveys undertaken on arrival highlighted a much greater extent of invasion than that which was previously identified. Pathways for this increased spread were also identified and highlighted to the local community in order to minimise any future human mediated transfer.
|Auckland Regional Council: Great Barrier Island Argentine Ant eradication.|
|FBA Consulting aided the Auckland Regional Council with the development of a community based Argentine Ant eradication programme for areas of infestation on Great Barrier Island in the outer Hauraki Gulf.
The community based programme included the supply of baits and technical and operational support on how to run the community programme.
|Santa Cruz Island, California: Argentine Ant delimiting|
|FBA Consulting was commissioned by The Nature Conservancy to undertake a delimiting survey of the known Argentine ant populations of Santa Cruz Island the most ecologically diverse of all the Channel Islands. The delimiting survey was to identify the edge boundaries of known Argentine ant populations, and provide an assessment for an eradication attempt.
