First, a Kiwi made bait called Xstinguish. The bait has been specially formulated to be irrestistable to almost all pest ant species in New Zealand. They will take the bait back to their nest where they feed it to their queen.

The second product is Ant Stop G. This is a slow-release granular insecticide that works by simply sprinkling it into gardens and lawns. After watering it in with a garden hose, it binds to the soil and forms a barrier that kills ants on contact. This should be used about a week after baiting with Xstinguish.

The two products together will give you many months of peace from ants. There is enough here to treat an average sized section.
