Description

Xstinguish is very effective ant bait in the form of a pale green paste. Xstinguish is available in 100g and 325g cartridges which are vacuum packed. The 100g are packaged in a syringe and the 325g cartridges require the use of a caulking gun. 

Target Pests

Xstinguish will control and even eradicate colonies of Argentine ants and some other species of ants. Eradication depends on the whole colony being treated at once.

Application Notes

The application rate of Xstinguish is 3kg/hectare so a 325g cartridge is enough to treat 1100m² or 2 average house sections. Small amounts of bait are squeezed out at regular intervals of 2 meters onto the ground or can be put into 75mm pieces of hose or irrigation tube. Best put in shady places to help against evaporation. Baiting is only necessary outside as it will draw all ants to it. The larger the area that is baited the more successful the baiting program will be. Keep other animals away from the treatment area for 24 hours. No harm will come to them if they eat it but you will have to re-bait. Once the vacuum bag has been opened the bait has only a short shelf life – refrigeration will help to some degree.

Be sure to apply sufficient Xstinguish bait initially. Ants can become bait shy if it is used intermittently. So why not get you neighbours invloved and treat the whole street in one go! Discounted prices apply to bulk purchases - call us now for discounted prices.

 

Safety Considerations

The active ingredient in Xstinguish is Fipronil at a rate of 0.1g/kg, the same active ingredient found in Frontline flea control for cats and dogs. Xstinguish should not harm humans or animals through accidental contact or ingestion.

It is some time now since I applied your Argentine Ant bait.

I am absolutely stoked with the results.

The main problem at the time was ants in the kitchen, (and almost everywhere else in the house). There were heaps of ants all over the section as well. I concentrated on around the house first, and then around the section for as far as the tube went. For some time afterwards there were a few ants inside the house, wandering around as if to say "where is everybody".

There are no ants inside now, and very few outside.

There were a few Colonies out side, (in the wood heap, compost heap and places like that), where possible I sprayed them with the Spray cans(ANTBAN) that you provided and that seems to have killed them, nest and all. While I have no illusions that they won’t be regrouping and coming back, I am delighted with the results so far. I would like to thank you for your help and your sound advice, and when the time is right, I will be treating any re infestation of the property, hopefully in conjunction with the neighbours treating theirs.
